While spending time in Mexico I observed how our country’s actions (and inactions) have impacted the safety and well-being of Mexican citizens. A quagmire of problems on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border has resulted in unbelievable violence and cruelty.

My intention is to bring attention to these issues by using video, sound, and performance.

This piece was installed in a store-front window in downtown Dayton, Ohio for two weeks. The top of the screen was cut to the shape of the US-Méxican border.

The video and sound were recorded in Cuernavaca, Morelos, México.
